Albert James Galatan, Esq.'s practice focuses on UM/SUM litigation and arbitration where he has over 15 years of experience. His work encompasses every aspect from coverage analysis and legal opinions, through trial and appeal. He brings clients extensive knowledge of coverage issues and has provided seminars and workshops to attorneys, claims adjusters, and SIU personnel on various topics including Arbitration in New York, Disclaiming Coverage, and Non-Cooperation with Insurance Policy Provisions.
Prior to joining the firm, Albert worked as outside and in-house staff counsel for numerous insurance companies, including AutoOne, Infinity, Windsor, Countrywide, Empire, and others. A skilled trial attorney, he also served as Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, New York.
Albert is a strong advocate for the autism community. As a parent with an autistic child, he counsels other parents on educational options for their child. He is a regular fundraiser and volunteer for several autism organizations and schools. He is also a member of Lawyers for Children with Special Needs. An avid runner, Albert also raises money through his races. He is a member of many running and cycling clubs, such as New York Road Runners, Queens Distance Runners, and League of American Bicyclists. He runs marathons including the New York City marathon.
Albert is married with 2 children.
